The product certification business has changed dramatically in the last 10 years to a point where it is nearly unrecognizable to the uninitiated. Standards development and conformance to International standards (IEC) are becoming the norm.
UL and CSA are implementing use of IEC standards (with national deviations) in a large number of product categories. IEC 1010-1 is becoming the facto standard in many product categories.
CE Marking and UL/CUL Listings are an example of the trend for a single mark to be acceptable in multiple nations.
WCL Corporation has developed a program of training and product evaluation that permits clients to smoothly and economically build and approve products to meet these changing standards.
